Great Libraries Create campaign

Your gift to the library supports programs that inspire a lifelong passion for reading and learning and provides vital services to members of our community in need.
Area of Greatest Need - Allow us the greatest flexibility to support urgent priorities and emerging opportunities at the library.

Young Minds - Address critical education issues like kindergarten readiness and supporting Ohio's Third Grade Reading Guarantee.

Life Skills- Help our community reach its potential by offering college and career readiness, adult learning and job search help for adults.

My Library - Create the next generation library by expanding our collections and personalizing services to address individual needs.

Recognize an outstanding teacher, celebrate a friend or remember a loved one with a gift to build our collection. A commemorative bookplate will be placed in the books purchased with your gift.

Summer Reading Club - Provide a summer's-worth of programming for thousands of central Ohio kids and teens, and ensure that kids maintain their reading skills so they start school at the right reading level.

Ready to Read Corps - A first of its kind initiative that takes the library into six at-risk communities to teach parents and caregivers of children ages 0 to 5 the six pre-reading skills their child needs to be prepared for Kindergarten.

Homework Help Centers - Homework Help Centers in all 23 library locations provide students with everything they need to complete their homework – friendly staff and volunteers to provide homework help, computers, printers, school supplies and a collection of resource books.

Louise A. Anderson Endowment - Annual proceeds from this endowed fund are designated for support of Library customers in conducting research, with a special interest in the Main Library location. Activities to be supported include: purchasing hardware, software, or way finding tools and resources to assist customers in identifying and finding the information they seek as well as the purchase of physical and online resource materials, especially related to health and medicine.
